We do not really know who’s responsible for Steve Jobs’ presentations. However, the person behind this seems that they didn’t bother themselves to review the information and considered Qatar as a European country. This photo has been cut from the video of yesterday’s meeting about iPhone 3G.

Turkey isn’t in the EU either. They know where Qatar is, but Apple probably just treats it as part of Europe for operational purposes.
Really, really, common practice.
Most companies break the world into different regions, one of these being EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Qatar isn’t in Europe – but neither is it in Asia though.
However, as many corporates break their international markets down into the block known as EMEA – Europe, Middle East & Asia – it could be that the caption “Europe” should have read EMEA.
